Construction and trading company Cechbuild active in the exhibition of rental apartments is trying to be innovative. It focuses mainly on housing reconstruction (insulation of facades and balconies remediation), rehabilitation and restoration of historic facades, insulation of family and office buildings. Currently, they are in the process of devising a passive apartment building. They have drawn microloan from the SBA twice to purchase the technologies and building materials.
When did you start your own business?
After the completion of a high school that means in 1995.
What was your first impulse that made you to start your own business?
It were own ideas about doing business, better income and enthusiasm.
What were your biggest problems, obstacles that you have encountered in the early stages of your business?
Lack of experiences, very weak support of business in general.
Do you have any advice for the starting entrepreneur?
Take destiny into your own hands.
Did a bank help you with financing your business plan?
Not really. Banks do not want to help us when we need them.
How many times have you drawn microloan from SBA and for what objective?
Twice. For purchase of technologies and machine equipment. Banks will not lend us under these conditions (conditions of liability, interest rate taking into account risks).

Yes. On the positive side was a speed of processing and liability conditions.

Your biggest achievement or something you are proud of.
We have been a stable company since our establishment. We are growing slowly but surely. Competition respects us. We search for available space in the market. We try to think strategically, innovate.
At what do your products differ from the competition in terms of quality, uniqueness and variability?
By bringing solutions that the customer is looking for and by preparing solutions, which will be interesting in the near future, for example passive houses. We develop passive apartment building that we would like to soon realize, and if that will happen, it would be the first residential building in Slovakia in the passive standard. We started to be interested in timber, since we expect increased demand for timber construction.
